Dear Fellow Runners,
Welcome to the Third Quezon City International Marathon (QCIM).
We are pleased to announce that the QCIM is now an annual sporting event to be held every first Sunday of December with the Executive Runners Club of the Phil. Inc (RUNNEX) as race organizer.
RUNNEX is a non stock, non profit organization composed of executives, professionals and entrepreneurs with a common passion for long distance running. It has been organizing races and conducting free running clinics for the past 28 years. Its main mission is to promote running not only as a sports but as a way to a healthy lifestyle.
As the premiere running club in the country, RUNNEX constantly seeks new ideas and ways to fully satisfy the needs of runners, improve running events and propagate free scientific running clinics.
As race organizer, RUNNEX aims to separate the QCIM from the other running events by making it inclusive, affordable, advocacy driven, sustainable and enjoyable to all. The QCIM must be the race of choice of runners, sponsors and other stakeholders.
We are fortunate to have sponsors who share our vision of making the QCIM a world class sporting event in the mold of the great city marathons abroad. We are convinced that the QCIM will become the next destination of local and foreign runners.
This year, SM Development Corporation (SMDC), is QCIM's main sponsor with naming rights.
We are grateful to the Quezon City Government under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Herbert Bautista and Hon.Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte for giving us the opportunity to be of service to the running community.
